Michael was born on July 23rd, 2008 with profound bilateral sensorineural hearing loss. Micheal wore hearing aids from the time he was 4 months old until the day of surgery. We decided that we didn't want anything to hold Mikey back from living as close to a normal life as possible even having a hearing loss so we moved forward with cochlear implants. I have created this page for friends and family to follow Mikey's progress and for parents that may be in the same situation we were with making this desicion. I found it very helpful to look at other parents blogs/pages for their children when we were making one of the hardest choices of our lives. Thanks for reading.

"neigh neigh" for a horse
"baa baa" for a sheep
"rawr" for a dinosaur
"peep peep" for a chick
"oof ooof" for a dog
"moo moo" for a cow and duck haha!
 He is doing great his speech is getting much clearer and easy to understand!!!

    Oh and... rechargable batteries have finally been FDA approved so we should have those by July! I am very happy about that! Now if I can just get the audiologist to call me back to get him in for booth testing we would be good to go. :)
